In the Düsseldorf district of Oberbilk, a serious act of violence occurred early Monday afternoon: As the public prosecutor's office and police in Düsseldorf announced, a 13-year-old was seriously injured in a physical attack with several stabs. The teenager had to be taken to a hospital.
A 15-year-old suspect was provisionally arrested. Witnesses are said to have observed the incident on Siegburger Straße. They stated that the 15-year-old had stabbed the two-year-old. Police were quick to arrive at the scene and temporarily detained the alleged attacker.
Because of the seriousness of the crime, a homicide squad was set up. The exact circumstances are still unclear. The investigation is ongoing.
