Saturday night, during the grand finale of "The Voice", Zazie stepped up to defend her talent Aurélien. The interpreter of "Zen" denounced the "insulting messages, on the physical" that the 34-year-old storekeeper, winner of the show, receives daily.

Aurélien is always on his little cloud... On Saturday night, the 34-year-old storekeeper with the tenor voice, was crowned the winner of the twelfth season of The Voice. Zazie's talent won the famous TF1 singing competition against her comrade Micha, singer of Amel Bent's team, by accumulating 68.3% of the public's votes.

"You haven't changed since the blind auditions"

Aurélien, darling of the show since his passage to the blind auditions and his impressive cover of Franz Schubert's Ave Maria, made a flawless Saturday night during the final. The storekeeper, father of two children, ignited the stage by singing Casser la voix in duet with Patrick Bruel. Then, he aroused emotion throughout the set with a very intense cover of a great classic of French song: The Quest of Jacques Brel. After his performance, the very last of the evening, Aurélien received congratulations from his coach Zazie, very proud of him. The singer praised his strength of character in the face of the criticism he has received since the beginning of his adventure in The Voice.

"You haven't changed since the blind auditions," Zazie said at first before continuing: "Going from the shadows to the light, being recognized suddenly by people in the street, having thousands of benevolent messages, encouragement but also difficult to read, insulting, things about the physique you had... And stay as you are, do not change one iota, namely the same smile, the same joy, the same modesty, the elegance of the heart, the same respect for the teams behind."

At that time, Zazie did not know that Aurelian was about to win the twelfth season of The Voice. Are you (...), the voice tonight? I don't have the answer, it doesn't belong to me (...). But I just want to tell you that you've already won everything. Because you've earned the fact of not changing. That's the great artists who do that. Thank you for that," she told him just before the verdict.

Aurélien, who had told us backstage that Micha would be the winner of The Voice, was finally contradicted by the public, who voted for him. "I never thought about this career," he told us before his visit to the blind auditions. Three months later, Aurélien can finally define himself as a singer...
