A video clip of a Yemeni child, who appeared calling her brother in emotion and telling him that her birds were lost after being devoured by a cat, received a wide state of sympathy, as the clip topped the interaction of Yemenis on social media.

"Fattoum" had appeared in the clip crying heartburn during her call to her older brother Omar, where she informed him that a cat ate its birds, and asked him to avenge them by killing the cat and putting it in a bag and throwing it in the garbage and then stoning it.

The program "Shabakat" (2023/5/29) monitored part of the Yemeni comments on the clip, including what Dina wrote, "Oh woe to my heart, but I laugh and cry with her, how the end of the scene developed a tight plan to take revenge on the cat clothes, and by God, she is loyal to her birds."

An account called "Friend of the Pilot" regretted the significance of the clip, tweeting, "It is very painful and unfortunate that the war and its tragedies even affect the feelings of our children and instill in them a love of killing and revenge."

In the same context, Hamid Hammam expressed his full solidarity with the "birds" and the "cat", in addition to "the lost childhood, which has changed even with its thinking due to the scourge of war and the culture of killing, oppression and displacement".

Nawal wrote, "The clothes ate Fatoom's birds. Fattoum hurt my soul with her tears and crying, if this had happened to me, I would have turned the world on the cat and its owner."

Sonia tweeted, "From the first glance of the spread of the video until the moment, I am in the pleasure of watching it and repeating it again and again, chills and a little tear with a smile of love for the sincerity of Fatum and her stuttering mixed with innocence and cruelty in making the decision."

The spread of the video – across Yemeni platforms – prompted a young man to gift the Yemeni child new birds, and recorded the moment she rejoiced in obtaining those birds.

Fattoum said – in response to a question program "networks" about her feelings and how will provide protection for her new birds?- showing great joy for these new birds, and said that she will make sure to stay in the cage so as not to fall again between the claws of the cat.
