The Cannes Film Festival is the event par excellence of cinema, since every year some of what will be the most commented films are announced. On its 74th anniversary, the Cannes red carpet has not disappointed by giving us unforgettable and, in some cases, atypical looks... The festival recognizes the talent in the film world, as well as the boldness and daring in the chosen styles, so in a way celebrities are expected to give the note. While it is true that we find a display of looks in the purest Hollywood style, such as that of Cate Blanchett with a black and white dress by Louis Vuitton; there are others in which creativity and innovation have won the game to the most classic standards.

Helen Mirren, 'total blue'

Helen Mirren surprised at the opening ceremony with a fun and unusual look: a dress with a tail in the back and a V-neckline, which she complemented with silver sandals and a black fan. Undoubtedly, the most striking was her hair, dyed blue (the same tone as the dress and manicure) and collected in a bun with hairpins reminiscent of the Y2K style. The actress, 77, has shown that age should not be an impediment when choosing styling and has not hesitated to join the 'mermaidcore' trend, with a look worthy of a mermaid.

Julia Fox at Cannes Getty

Julia Fox, a look that melts

The model, known for wearing unusual looks (such as a top made with condoms or underpants without anything else), has once again left us speechless with her extravagant styling with which she attended the 25th anniversary of Art of Elysium "Paradis". The design in question: a fully transparent Cameron Hancock corseter top that created the illusion of melting, combined with a puffed white double skirt. With a controversial style, Julia Fox has shown again why she is one of the most anticipated in galas and events.

Magalie Lépine-Blondeau and Monia Chokri at Cannes Gtres

Monia Chokri, in a 'cut out' dress

The Canadian actress opted for a tight skin-colored dress and 'cut out' in the navel, with which she posed in the photocall of 'The Nature of Love', in Cannes. The design, semi-transparent and with sleeves that covered her hands like mittens.

A look at the back

Under the dress you can sense a high-shot body, eighties inspired and sleeveless, with which the actress boasted of figure.

Jennifer Lawrence at Cannes Gtres

Jennifer Lawrence, goodbye to heels

Jennifer Lawrence looked impressive on the red carpet of Cannes, which she attended as a guest for the premiere of 'Anatomy of a Fall'. However, no one noticed the secret that was hidden under the skirt of her red Dior dress, signature of which she has been an ambassador for some years, until we saw how she went down the stairs ... The actress chose an unconventional shoe for this type of event, flip-flops! The reason? Surely she would like to avoid stumbles like the one she suffered at the 2013 Oscars, when she went up to collect the award for 'The Good Side of Things', also dressed by Dior.

Emmanuelle Béart at Cannes Getty

Emmanuelle Béart, wearing a hat

To attend the opening ceremony, the French actress opted for a two-piece: a white jacket and flowing black pants. The striking thing about this look is the wide-brimmed hat, also in black, with the Emmanuelle Béart standing out above the other attendees.
