The first time he saw him on a football field, dad Ady got angry at his son Amara who was guarding the goals. The striker, which he was, could not see his heir with goalkeeper gloves. "Your place is in front to score goals like your father," shouted the father who tells this anecdote in a report on Senegalese TV. Ady Diouf had a modest career as a striker that saw him scour the local and popular clubs of Senegal such as AS Pikine or Sonacos de Diourbel before freelancing abroad in Mauritania, Qatar and Tunisia.

It was in the hands of his retired father that Amara Diouf learned his first football lessons. Scammed by a father who founded a football school, from which the Senegalese international, Pape Cheikh Diop (Celta Vigo, Lyon) will emerge, the kid from Pikine burns the steps to the point of becoming a phenomenon of precocity, outclassed in all categories.

At 14, he was the leader and captain of a Senegal U17 team that won its first trophy in the category. Three times named "Man of the Match" in the tournament, the number 10 of the Cubs has scored 5 goals in the competition, beating the record of 2015 set by a certain Victor Osimhen (4 goals).

« Sadio more altruistic, Amara more scorer »

Amara Diouf is today one of the best promises of the Generation Football Academy, but he could have been a nugget of the competing football school, Diambars, which released Idrissa Guèye (PSG) or Bamba Dieng (Lorient). Coming second in the tests to integrate the institute of Saly, the son of Ady had been rejected, because too small. Generation Foot jumped at the opportunity, especially since some time before, the kid had made himself known with his father's school by scoring 9 goals during the Danone Foot tournament in France in 2017.

Today, the captain of the Cubs will continue his progression within the Academy led by Mady Touré. In less than four years, he will join, like his prestigious elders Papiss Cissé, Ismaïla Sarr, and Sadio Mané, FC Metz, privileged partner of Génération foot.

Of these three prides of the Academy, Mané is the one to whom Diouf would come closest to. "If he continues his momentum, he will be at the same level as Sadio Mané," says Talla Fall, Marketing Director and founding member of Generation Foot. Sadio single-handedly made a difference. He almost allowed Génération foot to climb in the League before his departure for Metz. Amara of the same caliber, he is even more demanding of himself. Sadio was more selfless, and Amara more goalscorer. »
