An investigation is underway after the discovery Saturday of the lifeless body in his Paris apartment of Ari Boulogne, who said he was the son of actor Alain Delon, and a person is in custody for failure to assist a person in danger, said the Paris prosecutor's office, confirming information from Le Parisien. The daily claims that the person in custody "would be his companion". The investigation aims in particular to "clarify the circumstances in which the death of the victim, who was hemiplegic, may have occurred," according to the prosecutor's office. The body was found at the home of the 60-year-old man in the fifteenth arrondissement.

Alain Delon has always denied his paternity

Ari Boulogne, born in the summer of 1962, is the son of German supermodel, singer and actress Nico, icon of Velvet Underground, and claimed to be the son of Alain Delon, which the latter had always denied. As a child, however, Ari had been raised by Alain Delon's own mother, Édith Boulogne, whose name he bears.

In recent years, Ari Boulogne had applied for recognition of paternity to the French courts, which rejected his appeal in September 2021 because of Alain Delon's place of residence, located in Switzerland. "The cassation procedure in progress will stop and the file will close. Alain Delon had consistently contested this paternity," the lawyer of the movie star, Christophe Ayela, told AFP.
