This event is held at this time of year at Konohi Park in Akkeshi Town, where there are about 1200,4 cherry trees such as Ezo Yamazakura, and last year due to the influence of the new coronavirus, eating and drinking were prohibited in the venue, but this year it was held normally for the first time in four years.

At the venue, a grill stand for grilling seafood is rented, and you can buy freshly caught oysters and clams and grill them over charcoal.

On the 13th, Akkeshi Town was mildly sunny, and many tourists and families came to enjoy the specialty oysters under the cherry blossoming trees.

A woman who visited with her family from Shibecha said, "Due to the influence of the new coronavirus, I couldn't eat oysters at the festival so far, so I took a day off.

Yoshihide Ando, secretary general of the Akkeshi Tourism Association, said, "Many people have moved around after corona, so I would like you to enjoy delicious oysters at the venue."

The "Akkeshi Cherry Blossom and Oyster Festival" will be held at Konohi Park in Akkeshi Town, Hokkaido until May 5 of this month.
