Guangzhou, May 5 (Reporter Cheng Jingwei) The Palace Museum's first musical children's drama "Lu Duan" was staged at the Guangdong Art Theater on the evening of the 7th, officially kicking off the prelude to the Greater Bay Area tour.

Jointly produced by the Palace Museum and Yiruiqi International Culture, "Luduan" is based on the Forbidden City beast "Luduan", focusing on how to innovate the inheritance of cultural relics, telling interesting and touching stories between the protagonist Xiao Luduan and his "cultural relics family" members, as well as the old Gao and grandson Gao Xiaoduan of the History Department of the Palace Court.

It is understood that in order to achieve the realistic effect of cultural relics "living" in front of the audience's eyes, the play uses super large live-action props with cutting-edge technologies such as naked-eye 3D to create a gorgeous and shocking stage. At the first stop of the "Luduan" Greater Bay Area tour, the crew worked hard to overcome all difficulties and moved the super-large original stage beauty to Guangzhou, and 1:1 reproduced the previous presentation on the Central Opera House, the National Centre for the Performing Arts and other stages.

On the night of the performance, the melodic and catchy theme song "The Ballad of the Forbidden City" entered in one second, and the grand and solemn stage design full of historical heaviness made people feel like they were in the ancient palace, and the precious collection of the Palace Museum was presented with the blessing of modern high-tech such as AR technology and holographic projection, leading the audience to see the beauty of cultural relics in the historical streamer.

Although it is a children's drama, "Lu Duan" can touch audiences of all ages. The line "Forever used by descendants" that is often read in the play is a common inscription on bronze, which means that the artifacts will be passed down forever, and future generations will continue to remember and cherish the merits and glory of their ancestors. This is the cultural core of "Lu Duan", not only let children, but also parents think about the value of life and the meaning of inheritance.

Different from the performances in Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing, the organizers of the first stop of the Greater Bay Area tour of "Luduan" also cooperated with the Guangzhou Children's Palace to carry out the "Approaching Cultural Relics and Listening to Cultural Rhythm" public welfare viewing activity, inviting 10 children with special needs and their parents to enter the theater to watch "Luduan".

"If you can't enter the Forbidden City for the time being, let the Forbidden City approach you and immerse yourself in the world of the Forbidden City!" On the evening of May 5, "Lu Duan" will continue to be performed at the Guangdong Art Theater. After that, it will also tour Shenzhen, Beijing, Anhui, Xiamen and other places. (End)
