From the beginning of May to the end of June, 2023 films from 5 countries, including 6 art institutions, will be screened at the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Broadway Cinemas, China Film Museum, Capital Cinema and China Education China Film National Campus Cinema Line, covering 6 cities.

According to reports, the "National Centre for the Performing Arts International Opera Film Exhibition" has been successfully held for six sessions since its inception in 2016, bringing more than 20 excellent plays from 70 art institutions around the world into dozens of cities and more than 1600 colleges and universities across the country, with nearly 16,<> screenings, benefiting <>,<> audiences.

At the launch ceremony, the documentary film "Callas: Voices for Love" was screened at the National Centre for the Performing Arts Opera House, which looked back at the glorious life of the greatest soprano of the 20th century, Maria Callas.

Ma Rongguo, Director of the Film and Television Production Department of the National Centre for the Performing Arts, introduced that this year, for the first time, the International Opera Film Festival was included in the performance schedule of the National Centre for the Performing Arts Opera Festival. At the same time, it deepened the innovative practice of "art + technology", specially planned the online public welfare exhibition and broadcast of the opera film "Rigoletto" on May 5, formed an offline and online "double exhibition" interaction, and explored a new mode of art viewing and performance.

Ma Rongguo especially mentioned that the film festival carefully planned and launched the "Master Memorial" special exhibition for the first time this year, and the films of three world-class masters of art, "Nuremberg's Famous Singer", "The Troubadour" and "Callas: Voices for Love", will be screened.

Speaking of new partners this year, Ma Rongguo also recommended two invited works, "This year's film festival invited the excellent works "Simon Pocañera" and "The Wedding of Figaro" by the Vienna State Opera and the Netherlands National Opera for the first time. As a part of the International Opera Film Festival, campus screenings have been widely recognized and warmly welcomed by teachers and students in colleges and universities across the country in recent years. The 2023 NCPA International Opera Film Festival cooperated again with the National Campus Cinema Line of China Education and Chinese Film to carry out campus screening activities and screen NCPA stage art films in 14 colleges and universities in 20 cities across the country. This year, Sichuan University, Shandong University, Shenzhen University and other universities will be used as key activities, and will organize opera art lectures, pre-screening guided tours, post-screening talks, artist meetings and other popular activities.
