• Concert A memorable Bruce Springsteen shakes Barcelona
  • Barcelona This is the exclusive hotel where Bruce Springsteen, Steven Spielberg and the Obamas stay in Barcelona

Bruce Springsteen could not have had a better return to Spain after six years of absence. The myth had enraptured Barcelona. The night, one of the most anticipated events of the year, became historic and did not disappoint during the almost three hours of concert at the Lluís Companys stadium. But the icing on the cake was still missing, Michelle Obama.

The former first lady of the United States attended, along with her husband Barack, the show of 'The Boss', so far nothing unusual. But Michelle did not hesitate when Springsteen called her to the stage and made her his backup singer to perform one of his eternal songs, 'Glory Days'.

And so he did, tambourine in hand, along with actress Kate Capshaw, partner of director Steven Spielberg (another of the illustrious who did not want to miss the concert), and Bruce Springsteen's wife, Patti Scialfa. The three were in charge of the choirs and encores while dancing and enjoying the 'temazo'.

Springsteen repeats concert this Sunday at the Olympic stadium before heading to Ireland, his next stop on a tour of Europe that has begun in his beloved city.

The Catalan capital was the first Spanish city to step on Springsteen in a distant but never forgotten concert at the Palau de los Deportes in 1981, he also performed at the Monumental in 1992, in an Olympic year, and it was where he opened his world tour of reunion with the E Street Band in 1999, at the Palau Sant Jordi.

He would return in 2008 and 2016 with the tours of 'Magic' and 'The River Tour', as many shirts remembered among the audience tonight, formed mostly by veteran followers who did not premiere precisely seeing their idol.
