  • Queen Letizia in Alicante: a premiere dress and very striking earrings

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia presided over the ceremony of the National Sports Awards, awards that make an express recognition to people and entities that have contributed in an outstanding way to promote or disseminate physical-sports activity. Among the winners this year, the soccer player Alexia Putellas, the golfer Jon Rahm or the taekwondo Adriana Cerezo.

For the occasion, Queen Letizia has returned to premiere, as she did last week in Cordoba. If that time she wore a Cayro Woman flower dress that was all spring, for the floral print and the striking tones, today she seems to anticipate the summer with a total coral look, the color par excellence of the summer season.

It's not just the colour that brings the Queen's styling to life. His two-piece set is all details. Let's go in parts.

Queen Letizia's most daring leather skirt

That Queen Letizia dresses in leather is not a novelty. She has culottes, red pants, black skirts and even a midi pencil that is not missing in Meghan Markle's closet either.

What is remarkable is the leather skirt that has worn in the delivery of sports awards. First and foremost because it has a side opening that goes up to the middle of the thigh, leaving more skin in sight than it usually shows (less when, on vacation, you sign up for minidresses or casual shorts, walking around Mallorca).

The second detail to highlight is the color, coral as we have said. Striking and flattering especially in tanned skin, it is one of the most summery tones there is precisely because of this detail. And, as we well know, the Queen boasts of brown all year round.

The skirt, like almost all the leather garments of the monarch, bears the stamp of Hugo Boss, one of those brands that make it wardrobe background. On the firm's website, where it also exists in green, they describe it as a tight pencil skirt. It is within the Responsible garments of the brand, made with a minimum of 60% of the leather from certified tanneries that use low-impact, more environmentally friendly methods. It costs almost 400 euros.

Queen Letizia and her original blouse

To accompany the new leather skirt of her wardrobe, Queen Letizia has chosen a silk blouse of a tone almost identical to the skirt, playing with the contrast of fabrics.

The originality lies in the sleeves, long, but with a curious pucker that runs from shoulders to fists, giving volume to the whole.
