Xi'an, 3 Mar (Zhongxin Net) -- On 30 March, the Lianhu District People's Court of Xi'an City publicly pronounced a verdict on a case involving a criminal group of evil forces, in which Li Moucheng, the main culprit, was sentenced to 30 years in prison and fined <>,<> yuan.
After the trial, it was found that in 2012, the defendant Li Moucheng entered the Xi'an cattle head acquisition and cattle blood processing industry. In order to gain greater economic benefits, the defendant Li Moucheng established Yongcheng Company in 2013 to engage in the production and sales of meat products and blood tofu. In order to implement industry monopoly, defendant Li Moucheng successively gathered other defendants in this case to crack down on peers and bullies shops through illegal and criminal activities such as picking quarrels and provoking trouble, extortion, and forced transactions, and illegally infringed on the production and sales of blood tofu products in Xi'an. After gradually monopolizing the blood tofu market in Xi'an, the defendant Li Moucheng lowered the purchase price of cow blood, raised the sales price of blood tofu, and made a big profit.
After trial, the court held that the defendant Li Moucheng and the other 10 defendants often gathered together to form a relatively fixed criminal organization in order to monopolize the production and sales market of blood tofu, and carried out illegal and criminal activities in the blood tofu products industry, committing evil, bullying the people, disrupting economic and social order, causing bad social impact, and were evil force criminal groups. Defendant Li Moucheng organized and led a criminal group, was the principal element, and should be punished according to all the crimes committed by the group, and the other nine defendants were regular members of the criminal group for a certain period of time, and participated in illegal and criminal activities to varying degrees under the organization and planning of defendant Li Mousehong, and should be punished according to all the crimes in which they participated.
Based on the facts, nature, number of times that each defendant participated in the crime, his role and status in the joint crime, his performance before and after the crime, his attitude of admitting guilt and repentance, and other sentencing circumstances, the court sentenced defendant Li to 9 years' imprisonment and fined him <>,<> yuan in accordance with the law for the crimes of picking quarrels and provoking trouble, extortion, and forced trading. The other nine accused were sentenced to imprisonment ranging from one year and six months to four years, with fines ranging from one to four years.
