On Thursday, March 30, it became known about the completion of the filming of the continuation of the series "Daddy's Girls". Miroslava Karpovich (Masha), Elizaveta Arzamasova (Galina Sergeevna), Ekaterina Starshova (Button), Philip Bledny (Venik), Andrey Leonov (Sergey Vasnetsov), Nonna Grishaeva (Lyudmila Vasnetsova) and others returned to their roles in the sitcom.
According to the authors' idea, the heir to the family curse of the Vasnetsovs is Venik - on the eve of the wedding anniversary, Dasha, who was played by Anastasia Sivaeva in the original series, runs away from home. A note on the table, a wedding ring and four daughters are all that remains to the hero from the disappeared wife. But in a difficult situation, his family, friends and father-in-law, who himself raised his daughters in similar conditions, come to his aid.
"It was an incredible adventure. If I say that at one time I did not want to be in the place of Andrei Leonov in "Daddy's Daughters", this will not be true. And now I had the great joy of becoming a film father of four of the most amazing actresses! I am very glad that fate turned so much and gave me a chance to make a new round of this project interesting, full of love, friendship and humor, "said Philip Bledny.
The scenery, namely an apartment for a newly-made large "cinema father" and his daughters, was built for a month and a half. During this time, a staircase with several spans, girls' rooms, Broom himself, an entrance hall, a bathroom and a living room were erected. From the props in the series used, among other things, crafts and drawings of young actresses.
The director was Alexander Zhigalkin, who shot 14 of the 20 seasons of the first "Daddy's Daughters". According to him, making films about large families is a long-standing trend, but the pioneers were the team of "daughters". In the case of the sequel, we are not talking about a return to the past, but about the "happiness of meeting with the touching atmosphere" that the filmmakers had on the site of the main project.
"In the new series, the script is also wonderful. It's not flattery, it really is, it turns out to be a very good story. I hope that the expectations of those who all these years wanted a sequel will not be deceived, and new viewers will be no less than the first "Daughters", – quotes the director of "Kinopoisk".

The authors of the series note that despite the participation of many members of the old team, the form of the series has changed and become more modern. In the sequel, "a familiar story was wrapped in a bright new wrapper."

While working on the original project, the most difficult thing for the authors was the search for an actress for the role of the youngest of the girls - Polina ("Buttons"). Ekaterina Starshova was selected from more than 200 applicants. In the new series, everything turned out the other way around - most of the time was spent on finding the eldest daughter of the main character.
"We could not find an actress for the role of Sonya's older sister for a long time, she appeared just a few days before the motor. After all, this character had a big dramatic load. But the youngest daughter was approved first. But it's one thing to approve everyone, and another to create an ensemble so that the girls look like a real family. It seems to me that we succeeded, "said Alexander Zhigalkin.
The role of Sonya was received by a student of GITIS - a young actress Polina Denisova, who managed to work in the series "Two Fathers and Two Sons" and the short drama by Kuzi Vasilyeva "Everyone Looks at You". Her sisters were played by Eva Smirnova and Vita Kornienko, familiar to viewers from "Vampires of the Middle Lane", as well as Polina Ainutdinova ("Healthy Man").
The series "Daddy's Girls" was released from 2007 to 2013 on the STS channel, included 20 seasons and 410 episodes. The sitcom received TEFI four times, and many artists and celebrities appeared as guest stars in it, including Igor Vernik, Andrei Malakhov, Tatiana Bulanova, Soso Pavliashvili, Timati.
"Daddy's girls. New" were shot by START by order of STS, and the premiere of the series, consisting of 20 episodes of 24 minutes each, will be held in the fall of 2023.
