Professor of Interpretation and Quranic Sciences at the College of Sharia at Qatar University, Dr. Ramadan Khamis, advises - in his speech to the episode "Sharia and Life in Ramadan" - to fortify the Holy Quran to protect oneself from the accursed Satan, the first enemy of man, and calls for regular reading of certain verses such as Ayat Al-Kursi.

Khamis explains that the beginning of the conflict between Satan and man was since the creation of Adam, peace be upon him, and it came in the words of the Almighty, "As we said to the angels, bow down to Adam, and they worshiped except Iblis, my father and arrogant," and his motive was his hatred, envy and jealousy of Adam, peace be upon him.

Since man is born, the devil lurks for him, which is what the Holy Qur'an referred to: "Let them set their straight path", and the conflict will always remain between the two as long as there is life and living on earth, and as long as there is light, darkness, infidelity and faith, and Al-Labib is the one who understands his enemy and deals well with him.

The texts of the Holy Qur'an and the sayings of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, indicate that Satan perches on the human heart so that he can center the work, and enters the heart from two entrances: the entrance to desires, where he tempts him with all the desires of life, and the entrance to suspicions, and enters its depth and uses every means to repel him from worshipping God Almighty and from the straight path.

The professor of interpretation adds that the devil, who develops and develops multiple means to seduce people, comes to the pious more than the profligate on themselves, and lurks at the doors of obedience and does not despair of harassing man, but does not dominate only the human being who has the ability to be affected and follow his steps, although his hand is weak evidence that the Koran used in talking about the work of Satan words that do not have domination and oppression, such as "wass", and appealed.

Ways to protect against the devil

The guest of the episode (2023/3/29) of the program "Sharia and Life in Ramadan" mentions the noble verse that appeared in Surat Al-Nur: "O you who believe, do not follow the steps of Satan", and says that it indicates the strategy taken by Satan in seducing man, in reference to that he does not get bored or despair, so one must draw for himself specific steps to confront Satan.

In the same context, he points out that Satan lurks even the scholars, and enters them from certain entrances, not like the entrances of the commoners, and therefore the world must control itself and control its relationship with God Almighty.

As for ways to immunize oneself from the accursed Satan, Dr. Khamis calls on man to be fortified by God Almighty and protect himself. The Holy Qur'an combines diagnosing the problem and providing treatment, calling for avoiding the steps of Satan by reading Ayat al-Kursi and Surat al-Baqarah, especially the end of it, and persevering in the remembrances received from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and adhering to the straight path, staying away from the evil and being keen on the company of the good guys.

As for the holy month of Ramadan, Professor of Interpretation and Quranic Sciences at the College of Sharia at Qatar University confirms that demons are chained and shackled in this month, but human demons work more than jinn demons, which means that Satan has someone to do his mission and work. And because sins – as scholars say – are due to the devil and due to man, if the devil is shackled in Ramadan, there are things within man that need to be filtered and addressed.
