Nanjing, March 3 (Xu Shanshan) -- The national music tour "From the Yellow River to the Yangtze River" "Guarding the Source of the Three Rivers" appeared at the Jiangsu Zijin Grand Theater in Nanjing on the evening of the 29th, playing a cultural movement of "crossing the river".

With the theme of China's two "mother rivers" Yangtze River and Yellow River, the work takes national music and cultural elements as the main line, and shows the world "Beautiful China" through cross-border integration art forms such as intangible cultural heritage instruments, Western musical instruments, national orchestras, national costume exhibitions, and national dances.

The performance kicked off with the performance of "The Water of Three Rivers Comes Up" by the Nianbao Yuze Art Troupe of Jiuzhi County, Guoluo Prefecture, Qinghai. Under the interpretation of the first special chamber orchestra in Guolo Prefecture "Animaqing Group", the auspicious conch and other musical instruments were all unveiled, adding brightness to the whole performance.

These original works are very beautiful under the "reorganization" of the counterpart support experts of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Tang Shengsheng, the leader of the "From the Yellow River to the Yangtze River" folk music tour project and a teacher at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, goes to the Guoluo area every year to collect wind for the creation and rehearsal of the project.

In 2021, Tang Shengsheng joined hands with the Guoluo Prefecture National Song and Dance Troupe to establish the first piano and intangible cultural heritage instrumental music group "Animaqing Group" in Guoluo Prefecture, which opened another artistic door for local musicians who originally played and sang by themselves and "fought alone", and also allowed these instruments with moving sounds to "go out of the plateau".

When creating and rehearsing works locally, Tang Shengsheng also personally felt the shocking beauty and original humanistic atmosphere of Sanjiangyuan National Park, and integrated it into the performance, striving to show the harmonious coexistence between man and nature. "I hope that in addition to feeling the beautiful melody of the work itself, the audience can also pay more attention to the ecological environment."

The "From the Yellow River to the Yangtze River" folk music tour was selected as the 2022 Communication and Promotion Funding Project of the National Arts Fund, and has completed the exhibition in Xining, Qinghai and Shanghai, and will also travel to Ningbo, Nanchang and other places for touring performances.
