This is the first time that a female wild Siberian tiger has been photographed in this forest area.

Located in the territory of the Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park, Tianqiaoling Forest Area is a potential settlement area for the expansion of the Northeast tiger and leopard population in the Hunchun and Wangqing National Nature Reserves of Jilin, and is also one of the key ecological corridors for the expansion of the Northeast tiger and leopard along the junction of Jilin and Heilongjiang to the hinterland of the Changbai Mountains.
In the video, an adult female Siberian tiger lies under a tree, next to two fluffy, chubby tigers running and frolicking, hiding behind a tree for a while to lean in and watch, and then stepping on a tree stump to look around. The two tiger cubs gradually fell out of sight of the female tiger, who got up and stretched, yawned, and walked out of the camera. They stay in front of the camera for about 20 minutes.

In recent years, China has continuously increased its efforts to protect wild Siberian tigers and leopards, and their populations have achieved recovery growth. At present, the total number of wild tigers and leopards living in the Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park has reached 110. With the improvement of ecosystem quality, the adult rate of Siberian tiger cubs has increased significantly.
After discovering that there were Siberian tiger activities in the jurisdiction, Jilin Tianqiaoling Forestry Co., Ltd. and the Tianqiaoling Forest Public Security Sub-Bureau immediately activated the linkage mechanism and the human-tiger conflict plan, and formed a joint team to patrol the nearby forest farm villages to ensure the safety of the human tigers.
