Some goods have exceeded their use and exchange value to carry symbolic connotations that affect consumer behavior, for example, the use value of distinctive car plates makes their owner feel that he is distinctive.

Based on the individualism of some consumers, the Egyptian government has worked to introduce distinctive license plate numbers, so that they can be sold at auction at exorbitant prices.

Two days ago, a painting was put up for auction on the Traffic Department's "Your Painting" website, bearing the codes "MYR 555", and two people bid on it, one of whom paid EGP 50 million to buy it, or about $ 1.6 million.

The government is working to exploit the desire of citizens to excel through these paintings, an idea that exists in most countries of the world and has borne fruit in the country, as the Tahya Misr Fund has received EGP 400 million from the sale of paintings since the launch of this service.

Shabakat (2023/3/29) followed how Egyptians commented on this amount offered to buy the painting. Among the comments of social media users, Egyptian businessman Naguib Sawiris said sarcastically: "Whoever has a shark and his confusion buys pigeons and flies them."

Activist Fahd Fayed ridiculed the painting's high price, writing: "If I were marginalized without a tiger and paid fines for my life, I would not reach 50 million pounds."

As for the tweeter Mohammed Meem, he saw that buying this type of painting is also an investment idea, and said: "This is an investment like the real estate, for example, this painting is always priced at a high price, as it is like a beneficiary and does not lose his need."

Activist Rashad Mohamed Rashad expressed his admiration for the idea as long as its profits will go to the "Tahya Misr" fund, and said: "I see da kois because the money will go to the Tahya Misr fund and this will be a benefit to the country."

Activist Ahmed Taher commented: "You are Zalanin ND fifty million and not Zalanin that a plaque written on it (QLS) reached 200 thousand pounds."
