Soviet and Russian director, screenwriter and actor Alexander Mitta was born in Moscow on March 28, 1933. Among his most significant works are the paintings "Burn, Burn, My Star", "The Tale of How Tsar Peter Arapa Married", "A Tale of Wanderings", "Border: Taiga Novel" and "Lost in Siberia". Mitta was one of the first Soviet directors to make a disaster film. He also wrote the book "Cinema between Hell and Paradise" and works of fiction for children, published in the series "Victor in Tiger's Skin", "The Martians Have Arrived" and "Miracle Bed".
