Surprised four days ago in Abuja (0-1) by Guinea-Bissau, Nigeria took revenge (1-0) in the return match on Monday, March 27 for the 4th day of the CAN 2024 qualifiers. Moses Simon scored the only goal of the game on penalty kicks on the half-hour mark (30th). Despite an attacking duo of Victor Osimhen and Terem Moffi, the Super Eagles could not increase the score against a Portuguese-speaking team. However, the main thing is done for the Nigerians who take matters into their own hands in this group and settle again in the lead ahead of Guinea-Bissau and Sierra Leone. Sao Tome and Principe is virtually eliminated.
