Ghana got hot in Luanda. The Black Stars were led for 20 minutes by Angolans who went close to the feat after opening the scoring on a penalty by Lucas Joao (51st). Chris Hughton's players had the pleasure of equalizing 20 minutes from the end thanks to Osman Bukari served by Joseph Paintsil entered on the hour of play (60th). It is not expensive paid for André Ayew and his family who collect four points on the double confrontation against Angola, especially when we think back to Antoine Semenyo's goal scored in stoppage time in the first leg (90+6).

Ghana remains at the top of this Pool E, but qualification is far from being acquired even if a victory in Madagascar on the 5th day will qualify it. Because Madagascar, beaten for the third time in four days, is now eliminated from the race to qualify for CAN 2024. The Barea lost in Central Africa (0-2), four days after losing at home to the same Fauves (0-3). With a double (40th, 82nd), Louis Mafouta was Barea's executioner.

In any case, for the Central African Republic, the hope is high for a first qualification to the CAN after having revived during these last two days. The men of coach Raoul Savoy have 7 points and are just behind Ghana, leaders. The 5th day will be decisive for Kondogbia and his family who will host Angola: a success will send them to the CAN.
