Host country of the CAN 2024, Côte d'Ivoire won at home, in Bouaké, against the Comoros this Friday, March 24 (3-1). For his return to the national team, Sébastien Haller scored a header goal in the second half (61st). Christian Kouamé opened the scoring in the first period by scoring a second goal since the start of the playoffs (29th). At the end of the match, Côte d'Ivoire hit the nail on the head by scoring its third goal thanks to Jean-Philippe Krasso (89th). With this success, the Elephants take first place in Group H. The Comoros, who experienced their first final phase of a CAN, in 2022, in Cameroon, will have to question themselves not to let Zambia take too much distance on the fourth day. The Comorians reduced the score at the end of extra time to save the honor, with Ibroihim Youssouf (90th+3). The top two teams from each group qualify for the finals.
