The Central African Republic struck a blow by winning in Madagascar this Thursday, March 23 for the account of the third day (3-0). Isaac Ngoma opened the scoring for the Fauves in the 36th minute while Louis Mafouta, centre-forward at US Quevilly-Rouen in Ligue 2, scored twice (45th, 79th). This success allows Raoul Savoy's men to record a first victory in this race for CAN 2024. The Central African Republic has never participated in a final phase of the biggest continental tournament. Quarter-finalist of the 2019 edition in Egypt, absent in 2021, the Malagasy will have to change their face next Monday in the return match.
