Investigators have found a safe believed to have been stolen from the home of Atsunori Inaba, who coached the Japan national baseball team at the Tokyo Olympics, in Kitanagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, in a burglary. I learned this through interviews with people involved.

A commemorative ring for winning the 2nd WBC = World Baseball Classic was also stolen from the house in 2009, and the police are proceeding to confirm the damage situation.

According to the police, on the 11th of this month, the house in Kitanagoya City, Aichi Prefecture of Atsunori Inaba, who was the manager of the Japanese national baseball team at the Tokyo Olympics, was damaged by a burglary.

According to the police and Inaba's father, in addition to the safe on the second floor and about 3.6 million yen in cash, Mr. Inaba won the 2nd WBC = World Baseball Classic held in 2009 as a player. It means that precious metals such as the commemorative ring "champion ring" were stolen.

It is said that the safe contained bankbooks and seals, but police later investigated that the safe, which was believed to have been stolen, was found in northern Aichi Prefecture, which is close to Gifu Prefecture. I learned something new during the interview.

The police are confirming the damage situation, etc., and are investigating the relationship because there were sightings of suspicious vehicles near the house.

Mr. Inaba is currently the general manager of Nippon Ham, a professional baseball team.
