China News Service, Shenyang, March 14th (Reporter Han Hong) On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the founding of Xiling Yinshe, the "Impressions Art Events - Works of Xiling Yinshe members" was co-sponsored by Shenyang Palace Museum and Xiling Yinshe "Art Exhibition" was held at the Shenyang Imperial Palace on the 14th, and 59 pieces (groups) of works showed the heritage and style of Xiling for a century.
Xiling Yinshe was founded in the 30th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1904), with the purpose of "preserving inscriptions, studying seals, and calligraphy and painting". Group, known as "the best club in the world".
In 1913, Wu Changshuo became the first president.
Since then, Xiling Yinshe has developed rapidly. Li Shutong, Huang Binhong, Feng Zikai, etc. are all members of Xiling Yinshe.
The works exhibited in this exhibition are all made by members of Xiling Yinshe. The works cover seal cutting, calligraphy and painting, including 26 seals, 29 calligraphy and 4 paintings.
In the exhibition, the seals are of high quality, complete with Zhu Wenyin and Bai Wenyin. The stones used include the four major seal stones in China-Shoushan Stone, Qingtian Stone, Changhua Stone and Balin Stone. Brand-new creation closely following the theme of the times.
For example, Liu Jiang, the executive director of Xiling Yinshe, wrote "Brilliant History" Baiwen Shoushan Shifangyin and so on.
In terms of calligraphy, the exhibited works include seal script, official script, running script, cursive script and other script styles. The contents of the calligraphy include poems by famous masters such as Wang Wei, Lu You, Shi Tao, etc., and there are idioms that refer to moral character, such as "high mountains look up", "virtuous streamer", etc. There are also five-character and seven-character couplets, such as the running script Gaoshan Yangzhi axis of Lu Guozhang, honorary vice president of Xiling Yinshe, on display.
In terms of painting, in addition to painting techniques, the four works on display combine poetry, calligraphy, painting and printing into one, showing the aesthetic pursuit of traditional art.
Fu Bo, director of the Art Research Department of Shenyang Palace Museum, said that this joint exhibition with Xiling Yinshe is the first time that Shenyang Palace Museum cooperates with literati associations and professional academic groups of gold and stone seal cutting. It aims to popularize the art form of gold and stone seal cutting. Cultural knowledge such as traditional calligraphy and painting, seal cutting, etc., inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
