In full promotion of the new season of "LOL: Who laughs, comes out!", Pierre Niney made a confidence to say the least surprising.

And, the actor was particularly surprised at the way the information was relayed, to the point of sharing a humorous post on Sunday March 12, 2023 on his Twitter account.

LOL fans

: Who laughs, comes out!

were not disappointed: the first four episodes of the new season of the series presented by Philippe Lacheau, available since Friday March 10, 2023 on Amazon Prime Video, simply made them explode with laughter.

Pierre Niney proves that he knows how to get out of his comfort zone

They could not resist the jokes of Jonathan Cohen, Leïla Bekhti, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Géraldine Nakache but also Virginie Efira, François Damiens, Gad Elmaleh, Pierre Niney or even Paul Mirabel, the participants of this third edition.

These stars, locked in the same room for more than six hours, had exactly the opposite mission: that of never laughing, while trying to make their opponents laugh.

Pierre Niney did not hesitate to go to the front with his friend Jonathan Cohen, trying to make the other candidates laugh with crazy improvisations and more hilarious sketches than each other.

The actor, who received the César for best actor for his role in the drama film

Yves Saint Laurent

in 2015, once again showed that he knew how to get out of his comfort zone by participating in this comedy series.

"My mother was born in Belgium"

LOL: Who laughs, comes out!

also allowed the actor to find Virginie Efira, his playmate in the romantic comedy

20 years apart.

Together, the two actors gave an interview to

L'Obs.

And Pierre Niney pointed out that he had a big point in common with his colleague, when she said he was the funniest of them.

"I don't agree, don't agree at all", he retorted at first before making a revelation: "But as you say Virginie, on the communion of spirit, we note the same things. We're both Belgian. I told him that I was Belgian today. My mother was born in Belgium, I consider myself half Belgian".

This information was directly taken up by the Belgian daily

 La Libre

which titled its article: "Pierre Niney admits to being Belgian".

The principal concerned did not expect such a formulation and shared his astonishment (but also his amusement) on his Twitter account on Sunday March 12, 2023. "This 'confess' is killing me. How much prison time am I facing?" , he wrote, with a humor always so caustic …

This “confess” kills me.
