podcast , broadcast on Tuesday March 7, 2023, Sharon Stone revealed that she had lost custody of her eldest son Roan at because of his role in the cult film directed by Paul Verhoeven. 

"You know your mom makes sex movies?"

"I lost custody of my child," the 64-year-old actress first says in the podcast.

Back then, in 2004, Sharon Stone was battling ex-husband Phil Bronstein to gain sole custody of Roan, their 8-year-old adopted son.

"The judge asked my child, my tiny little boy, 'Do you know your mom makes sex movies?'" she recalled.

It was ultimately Phil Bronstein who obtained custody of Roan because he was able to "offer him a more stable environment".

Sharon Stone was only granted visitation rights.
