On the afternoon of the 11th, there was a fire in Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture, where four buildings, including a two-story wooden house, burned down.

Police say no one has been injured so far.

Around 0:50 pm on the 11th, a woman in a two-story wooden house in Kamikagemori, Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture, reported to the fire department that the workshop in the house was on fire.



Ten fire engines and other vehicles were dispatched to extinguish the fire, but the fire spread to adjacent vacant houses, and a total of four buildings burned down.



According to the police, about 10 people, including family members and relatives, were in the burnt house, but they immediately evacuated and no one was injured.



The scene is a residential area about 400 meters southwest of Kagemori Station on the Chichibu Railway, and police and fire departments are investigating the detailed cause of the fire.

Nearby Residents 'Loud Sounds Like Gunfire'

A man in his 70s who lives in a house across the road from the fire site said, ``I heard a loud gun-like sound about three times, and when I went out to the garden, I heard about five more loud sounds. The fire went up, and after a while, I was surprised at how quickly the fire spread.There was also a slight wind, so I was afraid that the fire might spread to this side."
