Cameroon coach Rigobert Song has published the list of players called up for the 3rd and 4th rounds of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers. 'André Onana is without surprise after the withdrawal of the latter which ended his international career.

The others who failed are: Georges-Kevin Nkoudou (Besiktas), Samuel Oum Gouet (Mechelen/Belgium), Christian Bassogog (Shanghai Shenhua/China), Simon Ngapandouetnbu (OM), Olivier Mbaizo (Philadelphia Union/USA), Gaël Ondoua (Hanover 96/Germany), Marou Souaibou (Orlando Pirates/South Africa), and Jean-Pierre Nsamé.

For the latter, it is a real surprise.

The Young Boys Bern striker is indeed the indomitable top scorer this season with 20 goals in all competitions.

However, Cameroon's offensive line will be well represented by the indestructible Vincent Aboubakar, Karl Toko Ekambi and Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting. Finally, note the presence of Elliott Njongoue, 20, hopeful of English club Chelsea.
