According to the National Police Agency, last year, 2,053 people were arrested by police nationwide for creating or possessing child pornography, an increase of 64 from the previous year.



Of these, 905 were teens, accounting for more than 44% of the total, which is about double the 22.7% ten years ago.



Of the teens, 542 were high school students, more than half of them, and 215 were junior high school students.



With the spread of smartphones and SNS, there are an increasing number of cases where people are arrested for sending naked photos of themselves or uploading them on the Internet.
