Audrey Tautou is one of eleven female artists to whom Guerlain has given carte blanche for "Chère Eugénie", an exhibition celebrating the 170th anniversary of the Maison's "Flacon aux abeilles", created for Empress Eugénie in 1853. The actress of the "Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain" chose to photograph the bottle in total darkness to highlight its golden color.

We knew her as an actress, but it turns out that Audrey Tautou has another hidden talent: photography.

The unforgettable heroine of

Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain

agreed to collaborate with Guerlain by photographing the House's iconic "Flacon aux abeilles" in her own way, created for Empress Eugenie in 1853.

Guerlain gives carte blanche to eleven female artists

To celebrate the 170th anniversary of the bottle but also of L'Eau de Cologne Imperiale, also created in 1853 for Eugénie, Guerlain gave carte blanche to eleven female artists to give their own vision during the exhibition.

Audrey Tautou called on her daughter for her photography

The La Délicatesse

actress

wanted to pay tribute to the elegance of the bottle by taking a photo of it in total darkness, bringing out its sparkling golden color and its bees engraved in blown glass.

Audrey Tautou asked her adopted granddaughter, originally from Vietnam, to hold the bottle.

An artistic choice based on mother-daughter transmission echoing Guerlain's commitment to women.

And it is no coincidence that the House has chosen to set the date for the opening of the exhibition on Wednesday March 8, the date of International Women's Rights Day.

The Chère Eugénie

exhibition

is an ode to women but also to nature, symbolized by the golden bee, which has never ceased to inspire Guerlain's creations.

You can discover how Audrey Tautou and the ten other artists have chosen to highlight this majestic bee, inseparable from the House's bottle, from March 9 to September 4, 2023 at 68 avenue des Champs-Élysées, in Paris.
