On the evening of February 28, the cultural performance "Beijing Opera and Cantonese Rhyme Singing in the Bay Area" was held at the Hongxian Women's Grand Theater in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.
During the performance, actors from the five operas of Beijing Opera, Guangdong Opera, Kun Opera, Wu Opera and Qin Opera performed on the same stage, showing the charm of traditional theater art to the audience.
The performance kicked off with the Cantonese song "Meeting Lingnan", which was sung by Ou Kaiming, the winner of the "Second Plum Blossom" in Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award, and Li Junsheng, Chen Yunhong, Cui Yumei, Su Chunmei, Wu Feifan and other Cantonese opera masters who won the Plum Blossom Award in Chinese Drama.
Then, Ou Kaiming and Li Junsheng jointly performed Cantonese opera "Yi Shui Sends Jing Ke"; Li Jiayi, a national first-class actor, performed the classic Cantonese opera red school "Zhaojun's Out of the Frontier"; An excerpt from the famous drama "The Unruly Princess Stupid Son-in-law".
In addition, performances from Beijing, Kunming, Wu, and Qin operas were also brilliant.
Famous Peking Opera performers Yu Kuizhi and Li Shengsu performed excerpts from classic plays such as Peking Opera "Da Dengdian", "The Drunken Concubine" and "Siro Visits His Mother"; Kunqu opera performers Wang Hengtao and Wang Wenhui performed "Ghosting" of Kunqu Opera "The Peony Pavilion"; Qin opera performances Artists Wang Hang and Lu Tao performed the classic Qinqiang opera "Yellow Crane Tower"; Wu opera performing artists Chen Lili, Yang Xiayun and Lou Sheng also performed "Broken Bridge" in the classic drama "The Legend of the White Snake".
