Disney's YouTube channel has released the trailer for the upcoming film "Peter Pan and Wendy", a film adaptation of the classic 1953 cartoon.

The film was directed by David Lowry, who previously worked on Pete and His Dragon and The Legend of the Green Knight.

The plot of the picture focuses on the young Wendy Darling, who is afraid to say goodbye to her childhood.

She and her younger brothers meet a boy named Peter Pan and his friend, the Tinker Bell Fairy.

Together they fly to the magical land of Neverland, where they fight the evil pirate Captain Hook.

This dangerous yet mysterious adventure changes Wendy's life and she realizes she doesn't want to be a child.

The role of Peter Pan in the film is played by Alexander Moloney, the Tinker Bell fairies are played by Yara Shahidi, and Wendy is played by Ever Anderson, the daughter of actress Mila Jovovich.

The image of Captain Hook embodies Jude Law.

The tape contains many minor characters from the Disney cartoon.

So, viewers will see the dog Nana, a girl from an Indian tribe named Tiger Lily, as well as Hook's assistant Mr. Smee, whose role is played by Jim Gaffigan.

In the video's caption, the makers of the remake clarified that they intended to make a film that would match both James Barry's original writing and Walt Disney's animated adaptation.

The film's director told Collider that the team had no intention of reinventing the story, but that the director hopes he has managed to portray it well and make it "really important."

However, the writers decided to change some details.

For example, the trailer shows that among the lost boys who live in Neverland, there are now girls.

By the way, this is of considerable importance and makes adjustments to the usual plot, since in the cartoon the boys perceived Wendy as a mother, because there were never girls among them.

Netizens have reacted rather negatively to the upcoming Disney remake.

In the comments under the trailer, many express indignation at the choice of actors for some roles and blame the film company for "ruining childhood."

Thank you Disney Studios for another ruined magical movie!

one of the commentators said indignantly.

“The Tinker Bell Fairy has always been a blond pixie and Peter Pan has never been Hispanic.

Why can't Disney come up with new characters instead of constantly changing the ones they originally had?

All this becomes complete absurdity, ”it is written in the comments under the trailer.

“I love the part where Disney makes changes to the original story to cater to this new generation of sissies,” another user pointed out ironically.

Most commentators preferred to express their opinions indirectly, using irony and humor, fictional scenes, as well as quotes from other paintings.

Thus, many ridiculed the choice of an African-American actress for the role of the Tinker Bell fairy.

“The part where the Tinker Bell fairy waved her magic wand and transgendered Peter from a wooden doll into a girl took my breath away.

This is the essence of the entertainment industry.

Disney studio, never change, you are on the right track.

It’s amazing and bold,” said the user.

“I liked the part where the fairy said to Wendy, 'You don't know the power of the dark side.

I must obey my master," the commenter joked, referring to the Star Wars franchise.

“I love the part where the Tinker Bell fairy said, ‘Black fairies matter’ — it’s so amazing and bold, it gave me goosebumps,” another fan of the cartoon “Peter Pan” supported them.

Similarly, users commented on the trailers of the movie Morbius, which failed at the box office, and the upcoming film adaptation of The Little Mermaid.

One user joked that he knew the ending of the movie ahead of time: "I bet at the end of the movie Peter Pan says he's gay and Wendy decides to be gender neutral."

Another noticed that there are a lot of black people in the film, but the antagonist is not.

“Of course they change everyone, and the villain was left white,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, many have singled out their favorite film adaptations, saying they'd rather revisit them.

So, among the named films were the paintings "Peter Pan" (2003) directed by P.J.

Hogan and Steven Spielberg's Captain Hook (1991), starring Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams.

“Peter Pan, Wendy and Hook (from the 2003 film) will forever remain the best versions (characters. -

),” one of the comments says.

The premiere of the animated film "Peter Pan" took place in 1953.

Based on James Barry's fairy tale Peter and Wendy, published in 1911.

The cartoon turned out to be quite successful, although Walt Disney himself was dissatisfied with the work, because he believed that Peng turned out to be unattractive.

In 2002, a continuation of the story was released - "Peter Pan: Return to Neverland", in which Wendy already has a husband and children.

Her 12-year-old daughter, Jane, is captured by Captain Hook and her lost boys, led by Pan, rescue her.
