[Explanation] Since 2016, the Napahai International Important Wetland has implemented a wetland ecological benefit compensation project, guided villagers to directly participate in wetland protection through community co-management, continuously strengthened daily management and monitoring, and continued to carry out wetland environmental improvement.

The habitats of the black-necked cranes, black storks, gray cranes and other national first-class and second-class key protected birds have been well protected, providing a suitable habitat for migratory birds.

[Explanation] The Napahai Provincial Nature Reserve Management Bureau and Southwest Forestry University jointly completed the survey of wintering cranes in the Napahai International Important Wetland in January 2023.

According to the survey results, the number of wintering black-necked cranes in Napahai International Important Wetland is 510, an increase of 123 compared with the winter of 2022.

In addition, the diversity of summer birds in Napa Sea is also increasing. In 2019, a large number of summer and breeding birds appeared in Napa Sea for the first time.

Since then, the number and species of summer birds have increased year by year, mainly including bar-headed geese, spot-billed ducks, little egrets, middle egrets, cattle egrets, coots, and red shelducks. In 2021, a total of 4,770 birds of 55 species were monitored.
