Regarding the new corona border measures for China, the government has announced that it will relax from March 1 and limit the inspections at the time of entry that are being carried out for all immigrants.

On the other hand, we will continue to take measures to request submission of negative proof.

Since December last year, when the new corona infection spread in China, the government has continued to take temporary border measures, and now all immigrants are required to undergo a PCR test at the time of entry and submit a negative certificate. I am asking.

At a press conference on the afternoon of the 27th, Chief Cabinet Secretary Matsuno announced that the border measures will be relaxed from March 1, and that the inspections to be carried out at the time of entry will be limited to a sample survey.

In addition, it is said that the measures that have requested airlines not to increase flights by limiting the airports where direct flights from China can arrive to four airports such as Haneda Airport will be cancelled.

On the other hand, it will continue to require immigrants to prove negative, as it is necessary to proceed in stages.

Chief Cabinet Secretary Matsuno said that the reason for the relaxation was that the positive rate of people entering the country from China was on a declining trend, and said, "For the time being, while implementing this measure, we will continue to monitor the situation of infections in China and the status of border measures in each country. We will respond flexibly while looking at such things."
