A few minutes after presenting the César for best actress to Virginie Efira, Benoit Magimel returned to the Olympia stage to receive the best actor award for his role in

Brad Pitt landed on the Cesar stage to pay tribute to director David Fincher, before presenting him with an Honorary Cesar.

Acclaimed by the public for long seconds upon his arrival, the American actor then made a long declaration of love to the director.

"I played in three David Fincher films. Good evening, my name is Brad Pitt and I am a survivor", he first joked.

"No one said it was easy to make a Fincher movie, everyone will say it's worth it."

The ceremony briefly interrupted by an environmental activist
