The Victoria & Albert (V&A) museum has secured the donation of

David Bowie

's personal archive , a vast collection of 80,000 objects that the pioneering and influential artist kept until his death in January 2016.

Notebooks and manuscripts, covers and records, photomontages, negatives and videos, designs and clothing, musical instruments and records edited over six decades of innovative creation will be kept in their own space, The David Bowie Center for the Study of Performing

The center will open to the public in 2025, according to the current plans of the British institution.
