The museum has newly opened three visiting areas, with an exhibition hall area of ​​about 1,300 square meters.

The themed exhibition uses 500 million words of various chronicles and documents in the collection, covering 808 pictures, 1348 books, 11 scenes, 5 multimedia, 45 real objects, and more than 100 story points.

  The exhibition starts with "Zhi Shuo", focusing on the value of Zhi Zhi and the contribution of people, seeing the big from the small, and telling the story of Beijing well.

Among them, the "Local Chronicles Beijing" exhibition focuses on displaying hundreds of old local chronicles and ten thousand volumes of new local chronicles.

The "Yearbook Beijing" exhibition is based on more than 340 types of yearbooks at all levels in Beijing. It looks back at the development process of Beijing's yearbook business, absorbs historical wisdom, and strives to create a better tomorrow for the capital.

The "Archives of 'One City and Three Belts'" exhibition is divided into four units to display the old city of Beijing and the three cultural belts of the Grand Canal, the Great Wall, and the Yongding River in Xishan. It has become a symbol of world culture that promotes Chinese civilization and leads the trend of the times.

  In terms of content design and point setting, the exhibition focuses on Beijing's profound history and culture and the key points of the "one city and three belts" planning, taking into account the characteristics, linking the past and the present, and one scene at a time. Immersed in thousands of years of local chronicle culture, evoke the memory of Beijing.

The audience can see the earliest surviving local chronicles of Beijing, find the earliest name for the central axis of Beijing, and appreciate the wisdom of the ancients displayed by the model of the Suoyi city wall site.

  The exhibition is sponsored by the Party History Research Office of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Office of the Beijing Local Chronicles Compilation Committee, and undertaken by the Beijing Local Chronicles Museum.

Since its opening in 2013, the Beijing Local Chronicles Museum has donated 341 kinds of precious materials.
