The Ukrainian conflict is about to enter its second year.

On February 24, it will be a year.

For Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, 2023 promises to be a decisive year.

"I believe that 2023, with all our determination, will see the end of this war in Ukraine," he said.

"I believe that Ukraine can win (...) potentially" this year, added the head of the Polish government.

US President Joe Biden is expected in Poland on Tuesday to mark the anniversary of the start of the conflict (February 24, 2022).

A visit that is both "symbolic", but also "extremely concrete" according to Mateusz Morawiecki.

The latter also underlines Washington's role in assisting Ukraine since the start of the conflict.

"Without the United States, at this stage of the war, there would probably be no free Ukraine," he said.
