Songwriters in the spotlight

On Saturday evening in the Sparbanken arena, several familiar faces and voices will appear.

Canadian Laurell is already finalist ready as composer for Maria Sur's song "Never give up".

But in the third part of the competition, Laurell is now getting ready to step into the limelight with the song "Sober".

Melanie Wehbe is also well-acquainted with Melodifestivalen's green room, where she has sat several times as a songwriter.

Among other things with the winning song 2020 - "Move" for The Mamas and "All my life" for Wiktoria in this year's competition.

Melanie Wehbe is now also competing on her own with the song "For the show".

Royalty, ballad and dance band

Another recurring mellow competitor is Paul Rey with the song "Royals", a song that he promised will contain partying and "clearing".

18-year-old Ida-Lova will perform the song "Let the whole town see", which she describes as a powerful ballad about daring to live.

Wouldn't Melodifestivalen be complete without a dance band number, would it?

The dance band Casanova has, among other things, won the Swedish dance band championships and will now take center stage with the song "Så kommer kørnirna varskar".

Nordman and Norwegians

After a 15-year hiatus from competition, we also get to see the artist duo Nordman with Håkan Hemlin and Mast Wester, perform the song "Släpp alla sorger".

Another well-known duo competing are the Norwegian twin brothers Marcus and Martinus who have chosen to represent their neighboring country with the song "Air".
