Recently, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism issued the "Opinions on Regulating and Guiding the Development of Tent Campsites (Trial)" (Draft for Comment), clearly stating that tent campsites should be located in safe areas; Those who carry out tent camping activities must be cleaned up and patrols and guards should be strengthened.

In recent years, outdoor camping has gradually become a new choice for people's leisure travel.

Statistics show that the scale of China's camping economy market is showing an upward trend year by year.

With the rapid development of the camping business, some businesses have also sensed business opportunities, and began to build campsites in some "wild spots" and private "spots", and advertised illegally on the Internet to attract tourists; The "natural camping treasures" and camping experience shared on the Internet made this kind of camping unexpectedly popular, and even became a check-in place for Internet celebrities, attracting many tourists to "set up camp".

However, since such scenic spots do not have the corresponding safe use conditions, especially during the flood season or extreme weather, the so-called online celebrity check-in places may instantly become deadly and dangerous places.

Previously, there have been tragedies of casualties of camping tourists due to extreme weather in the "wild spots" in some provinces and cities.

This also sounded the alarm to regulate the development of the camping industry and ensure the personal safety of tourists.

In order to promote the healthy and orderly development of camping tourism and leisure, last year, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Emergency Management and other departments jointly issued guidelines, which specifically emphasized that camping activities should be avoided in "wild scenic spots" and private "spots".

This is equivalent to drawing a restricted area for camping activities at the national level.

The draft for Beijing’s consultation proposed that the local township governments should implement territorial management responsibilities, and clean up and strengthen inspections of campsites such as “wild scenic spots” and private “scenic spots” that do not meet the conditions for safe use.

This regulation not only refines the implementation of the previous guidance, but also makes the regulatory responsibility for investigating and punishing tent camping that is set up arbitrarily and violates regulations is clearer.

Safety is the premise and foundation of any business activity.

For tourists who go out to get close to nature and relax, the importance of safety is undeniable.

This requires township governments, campsite operators, and campers who are on the front line of management, and campers who go out to enjoy leisure time, to maintain awe of nature and legal regulations, so as to prevent "wild spots" from adding safety hazards to leisure trips .

It is hoped that the "Opinions" will pass the statutory procedures and be implemented as soon as possible, and provide useful reference for other provinces and cities to regulate camping activities, and jointly promote the healthy development of camping tourism and leisure.
