The Victoires de la Musique crowned this Friday evening the artists who marked the music industry in 2022. The Belgian artist Stromae received the prize for male artist of the year, after his return with the album Multitude , released March 4, 2023. The star emotionally celebrated her award on stage.

The singer Stromae was crowned male artist at the Victoires de la Musique, Friday at La Seine Musicale, a hall at the gates of Paris.

After a long break caused by a burn-out, the 37-year-old Belgian has resumed his flight with the album "Multitude".

This is the sixth Victory in his career.

"I'm still a little moved," said the artist, who thanked his relatives who work with him, his brother Luc Van Haver and Coralie Barbier, his wife.

In Multitude, Stromae lays bare

Forgotten the depression, aggravated by the side effects of an antimalarial, which had nailed the slender Belgian to the ground a few years ago, in the wake of an exhausting world tour.

The artist returned to the stage in 2022, a first for seven years to present the successor to his album "Racine Carrée" (2013, that of consecration).

With "Multitude", he found the winning recipe.
