Live: Death toll from earthquakes in Turkey and Syria exceeds 15,000

Rescuers continue to work in freezing cold, Thursday, February 9, to try to rescue the victims of the earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria on Monday.

The death toll now stands at more than 15,000 dead, according to the latest official counts: 12,391 dead in Turkey and 2,992 in Syria, bringing the total to 15,383 deaths at this stage.
