On February 8 local time, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Li Jiachao, visited the China-Arab (UAE) Production Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Park in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
Li Jiachao said that the demonstration park is a successful example of the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" between China and the UAE, demonstrating the great potential and significance of cooperation under the "Belt and Road" initiative.
He has been encouraging Hong Kong enterprises to use overseas economic and trade cooperation zones as an entry point to expand business opportunities in countries related to the “Belt and Road”.
Li Jiachao posted on social media that the China-UAE (United Arab Emirates) Production Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Park is an overseas economic and trade cooperation zone promoted by China in the Middle East, and it is also a diversified development project under the "Belt and Road" initiative.
Jiangsu Overseas Cooperation and Investment Co., Ltd. is the investor, developer and operator of the demonstration park.
For Hong Kong companies intending to expand their business in the Middle East, the operation model and experience of this demonstration park are of great reference and learning value.
During the visit, Li Jiachao also communicated with two workers from China in the demonstration park to learn about their work and life.
According to the Information Office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Li Jiachao also visited the Abu Dhabi Port Authority on the same day, and then ended his visit in Abu Dhabi and went to Dubai.
Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and accompanied by more than 30 business representatives from different fields.
