In a series of wide-area robbery cases, an elderly woman was murdered at a house in Komae, Tokyo. Interviews with investigators revealed that a similar person was captured on a security camera near the scene.

Since the three are believed to have acted together before and after the incident, the Metropolitan Police Department believes that there is a high possibility that they were involved in the incident, and is investigating with a view to filing a case on suspicion of robbery and murder.

Last month, in a robbery murder case in which Koromo Oshio (90) was killed at a house in Komae City, Tokyo, the Metropolitan Police Department is investigating in detail the movements before and after the incident of the rental car that was seized as being used for the crime.

In the investigation so far, on the night of the incident, Rikuto Nagata (21), who was arrested for the robbery and injury that occurred in Nakano Ward, and the suspect in the attempted murder robbery that occurred in Hiroshima City, were found in this rental car. It is known that three suspects who were arrested for using a counterfeit license in Ishikawa Prefecture took a ride to a facility in Tokyo and stayed overnight.

A subsequent investigation revealed that of the three suspects, a person who resembled the suspect arrested in Ishikawa Prefecture in terms of hair color, walking style, etc., was captured on a security camera near the residence at the time of the crime. I learned this through interviews with investigators.

It was confirmed from security camera footage that the three were near the same rental car in Kanagawa Prefecture just before the incident. It is highly likely that the three people were involved in the incident, and we are investigating with a view to filing charges on suspicion of robbery and murder.
