As future generations, we cannot rely on these cultural relics to realize them. Only by exhibiting and researching can they be more valuable.

This group of works is huge, occupying half of the wall, and has been in the Zhang family's collection. This is the first time it has been published.

Zhang Nianchi said that this is the words of his grandfather's self-encouragement, which means to keep upright in the face of difficulties.

This is also a true portrayal of his rough but unyielding life.

Zhang Taiyan has experienced important revolutionary events in modern history, such as the Reformation Movement, the Revolution of 1911, and the National War of Resistance. He was hunted down seven times, imprisoned three times, and passed away with death several times. However, his passion for revolution has not diminished in the slightest. .

This is a revolutionary fighter and a master of Chinese studies. Lu Xun, Zhou Zuoren, Huang Kan and Qian Xuantong are all his students.

In the exhibition hall, there is a complete set of "Commentary to Shangshu" collected by Zhang Taiyan.

Previously, the Zhang family had donated Zhang Taiyan’s items to Hangzhou for the preparation of the Zhang Taiyan Memorial Hall by the West Lake. However, Zhang Taiyan’s former residence, which is a national key cultural relic protection unit, is facing the dilemma of insufficient collections. polish.

Zhang Nianchi said that these cultural relics are all in his personal collection, and the donation is due to his responsibility as a descendant of Zhang Taiyan. There is no such thing as generosity, and it is not the "high moral integrity" praised by many people.

He expressed his "selfishness": to preserve and pass on the story of Zhang Taiyan.

"The collection and research level of a cultural and museum unit are much more important than its hardware. The former residence is the best destination for this batch of cultural relics." Zhang Nianchi said that as a descendant, what should be considered is the significance of the existence of the grandfather's relics, not the Realize it for money.

He mentioned that people do not have a thorough understanding of Zhang Taiyan at present, but as long as everyone who visits the former residence gains something after seeing these cultural relics, he will be satisfied.

Zhang Nianchi said with a smile that if the relevant departments must give him a bonus, he hopes to use it as a fund for the research on Zhang Taiyan and the publication of related books.

"Now we are talking about how to make cultural relics 'live'. I think that as long as the research continues and more and more people understand Zhang Taiyan, Zhang Taiyan's former residence will never become obsolete and will never be replaced." (End)
