China News Service, Changchun, February 8th (Zhang Yao, Zhou Shiqi) "Sit, stand, attack..." After the command, a white "lightning" suddenly sprang out and searched for the target.

It is a police dog "Hei Zhuang", currently serving at the Machuanzi Border Checkpoint of the Yanbian Border Management Detachment.

A few days ago, it was rated as one of the first batch of "Meritorious Dogs" by the National Immigration Administration, and also the first "Meritorious Dog" of Jilin Immigration Management System.

"Hei Zhuang" is a Labrador. He came to the Machuanzi border checkpoint from the police dog training base in 2019. He was mainly responsible for the search and explosion work. At that time, he was only eight months old.

"Hei Zhuang" advanced to be a "Meritorious Dog", it is by no means a one-day achievement, it is the result of the trainer Zhang Yu and it's hard training day after day and year after year on the training ground.

"Labrador dogs have relatively strong comprehensive abilities, but their obedience is much worse than other common police dogs, so more training is needed, especially as a bomb detection dog, the training to find explosives and prevent accidental touch is more difficult." Zhang Yu said that "Hei Zhuang" spent four months of hard training and repeated every tactical action thousands of times before he officially took up the job.

Zhang Yu has served in the army for 16 years and has been a police officer for 4 years. He has been working with police dogs and has cultivated 7 police dogs, including German shepherds, horse dogs, and cocker dogs.

"Hei Zhuang" was the first Labrador he trained.

"From daily training and work, I can feel that it never gives up and is lazy." Zhang Yu introduced that "Hei Zhuang" is a comrade-in-arms of the immigration police when performing tasks; in life, it is a close friend of the trainer.

In September 2021, at the scene of the first actual police dog competition of the National Immigration Management System, "Hei Zhuang" shuttled back and forth. In less than a minute, he lay down on a ground, his eyes gleaming sharply.

"Hei Zhuang" performed brilliantly, and finally won the second prize of the group and the third prize of the special event.

In recent years, Jilin General Station of Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection has attached great importance to police dog work, resolutely implemented work responsibilities, and refined work measures.

At present, "Hei Zhuang" has attended more than 1,000 times, inspected more than 3,000 vehicles and more than 2,000 bags, successfully completed 6 major international and domestic tasks, participated in cracking more than 10 cases of various types, and rescued 6 people.
