At Dogo Onsen in Matsuyama City, a shop planned and directed by designer Tomoe Shinohara will open for a limited time from July this year, and will sell crafts and specialty products from Shikoku.
This was announced by Matsuyama City on the 7th as an initiative of "Dogo Art 2023", which is held regularly in conjunction with the preservation and repair work of the Dogo Onsen Honkan.
According to this, this year, five groups of creators who are active in Japan and overseas will set up a shop for the first time to plan and produce crafts and specialties of Shikoku so that they can enjoy shopping along with art appreciation around Dogo Onsen. about it.
Among the participating creators, designer Tomoe Shinohara has worked on stage costumes for singer-songwriter Yumi Matsutoya and the idol group Arashi, and last year won a prestigious American advertising design award.
