Before they became a quartet, band members Anna Ahnlund, Daniel Ögren, Christopher Cantillo and Love Örsan had a long background in music, when they released several solo albums and participated in various band constellations.

The project with Dina ögon was started in 2021, when they released the cross-genre debut album "Dina ögon".

The album quickly became a success and several sold-out concerts around Sweden and the Nordics followed.

A genreless love child

In the new album "Oas", they have been influenced by several different genres, just like in the debut album.

They themselves describe their music as a love child of everything from Fleetwood Mac to Ted Gärdestad.

- It's not so tied to the fact that it has to sound a certain way, but that we throw in everything we have, says Daniel Ögren, who writes the music and plays several instruments in the band.

Anna Ahnlund is the band's singer and has also written the songs.

She believes that "Oas" is about people's lives.

- Purely in terms of text, I take phenomena that I want to investigate, then it can become something else because I might have an input into how the text swings, then you might find words in it.

Celebrated by Tyler the Creator

Their music has reached rap icon Tyler the Creator, who listed one of their most popular songs "Tombola 94" as one of his favorites of 2022, in a post on Twitter.

It came as a bit of a surprise, says the band's bassist Love Örsan.

- When we released the first album, we didn't think it would be so widely listened to, that so many different types of people from different parts of the world and at different ages would like it, he says.

- With "Tombola 94" we really tried to make a strong song, for me it's some kind of 80s world.

But it seems that we got it so that it was powerful and good.
