Ma Zhiwei: Xia Zhixiong is a person who lacks his own ideas and has no direction. His father and grandfather helped him arrange his life, so he does not have a clear direction in work, marriage, and life.
It wasn't until he met Lu Yuanfang that he changed a bit.
Xia Zhixiong is not the same as the roles I played before, nor is it the same as myself. In real life, I am a person who can do whatever I like.
Yangcheng Evening News: Xia Zhixiong is a "super dad". How did you figure out this identity before filming?
Ma Zhiwei: I asked my friends who are already fathers and mothers in advance to learn from them.
We had a real baby on set, and a fake baby stand-in.
When I wasn't required to shoot, I just sat and talked to that fake baby and held it.
This is how I feel the mentality of this character.
Yangcheng Evening News: After the new drama was broadcast, many netizens ridiculed that "Aquaman has landed", what do you think of this?
Ma Zhiwei: I did play a lot of "Sea King" and "Scumbag" before, but Xia Zhixiong is a completely different type of person with a different personality. I hope the audience can see another side of me.
In terms of image, I specifically asked the crew teacher "Can I wear a pair of glasses" and shaved off my beard.
Yangcheng Evening News: After experiencing the feeling of being a father, what is the biggest feeling?
Ma Zhiwei: First of all, I was very nervous. There was really a very small baby on the set, it seemed to be only three or four months old.
The baby's neck is relatively fragile. Every time I hold him, I will carefully support his neck, for fear of hurting him.
The second feeling is that being a father is amazing. A small life is in your hands, and he is the continuation of your life and your offspring. People who do not become fathers do not understand or feel this feeling at all. .
Yangcheng Evening News: With Wang Ziwen as a divorced couple, how do you feel about working together?
Ma Zhiwei: Acting with Teacher Wang Ziwen is very comfortable, because she really understands the characters and the script, so when she is there, I feel at ease.
And she is a very lively girl at the scene, very enthusiastic, and takes good care of all the staff.
Role: "Leaving a character's name is more important than personal popularity"
Yangcheng Evening News: In "This is the first time in my life", what things are you trying for the first time?
Ma Zhiwei: Acting with a baby is my first attempt. When we were filming, the baby was completely uncontrollable. He would sleep and cry from time to time.
I have a rather impatient personality. When filming, I will train my patience and tell myself not to be so impatient.
Yangcheng Evening News: After playing the role of "Sea King" Liang Zhengxian in "Thirty Only", have you received many similar "gentle scum" roles?
Ma Zhiwei: Yes, a lot.
But I think being an actor is to play some different types of roles, so I hope to shoot some challenging and breakthrough roles, I don't want to limit myself in a box.
What I hope most now is that when the audience watches Xia Zhixiong, they can forget my previous image in "Thirty Only", which is very important for actors.
I don't like it very much if every one of my characters feels the same to the audience.
Yangcheng Evening News: After the work is broadcast, will you actively search for comments from netizens about yourself?
Will you care about some negative reviews?
Many viewers only remember "Sea King" Liang Zhengxian, but they are not familiar with the name Ma Zhiwei.
Ma Zhiwei: As an actor, I hope that the audience will remember my character’s name, and then find out, “Oh, it’s him!” This kind of feedback will make me feel more satisfied. The audience only remembers Ma Zhiwei, but not It's useless not to be able to live with the part I'm playing.
As for the audience's comments, I sometimes read them. All opinions are opinions. Everyone's point of view is different. I will digest it myself.

Yangcheng Evening News: What plans do you have for the role you want to play in the future?
What else would you like to try?
Ma Zhiwei: I want to play some characters that feel completely different.
I really like to play some villainous roles, and there is much more room for performance of such roles.

Yangcheng Evening News: What hobbies do you have in life?
I heard that you like to play football, and also know western boxing and boxing?
Ma Zhiwei: Yes, I like football and fighting, I really like sports.
But the last time I played football, I didn’t do enough warm-up in the early stage and my tendon ruptured. I couldn’t move for more than half a year after the operation. This is very torturous for a person who likes sports.

From entering the industry to the present, what do you think has changed and remained unchanged in yourself?
Ma Zhiwei: There will definitely be changes. I am 37 years old this year, and I was 27 years old when I entered the industry. Now I have different views and feelings on many things, and I will be more mature.
What remains unchanged is that I feel that I am still a child deep in my heart, and I feel that being an actor requires innocence in my heart.
Yangcheng Evening News: Before your debut, you worked as a courier for 10 years. What made you want to become an actor?
How do you understand the identity of an actor?
Ma Zhiwei: When I wanted to become an actor, I simply thought that being an actor would lead to a different life.
After acting for a period of time, I found that when I was acting, I could forget who I am. You know that everything is fake, but your emotions are real.
It is really amazing to be able to "forget myself". When I completely forget that I am Ma Zhiwei, it is the happiest time for me as an actor.
Yangcheng Evening News: After filming, how do you adjust to returning from selfless performance to real life?
Ma Zhiwei: "Entering" and "drawing away" are actually beyond my control, but I think this is the greatest joy of being an actor. I like some uncontrollable things.
"Entering" is unpredictable. Sometimes at the shooting scene, you may be moved by a look or a line of dialogue from the other party, and you can enter the role and enter the state of performance.
"Detachment" is also elusive. It is possible to finish work and return home. You have not yet stepped out of the role, but you may return to real life after watching a work or listening to a song.
