Alain Souchon is celebrating his 50th anniversary this year, just that!

On this occasion, the monument of French song is honored in a play, "La Ballade de Souchon" signed by the Comédie Française.

The actresses of the famous institution had a field day and the bet paid off!

The Comédie Française pays tribute to one of the pillars of French musical variety Alain Souchon.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his career, the Théâtre-Français signs "La Ballade de Souchon", and reminds you of your young sentimental years.

"I don't know anyone who told me 'I don't like Alain Souchon'" admits Françoise Gillard, who thought of this show with her heart, at the microphone of Europe 1.

Obviously, she likes Alain Souchon, but the actress and member of the Comédie Française also likes the other actresses, her colleagues, her comrades whom she has directed, and the spectator feels it.

A country house, poetry, and Voulzy

On stage, the atmosphere is warm, the spectator is installed in a Sunday family setting, inside a country house, between a glass of Bordeaux and two songs sung.

What better way to talk about Souchon, his love for poetry and his friendship with Laurent Voulzy, whom he calls just to say he feels lucky to have met him.

Moreover, for those most in love with the nostalgia of his texts, the work does not fail to evoke it while recalling the sensitivity of the artist.

"A poet who never goes out of style"

In a few words, Françoise Gillard manages to transcribe the sentimental and accessible musician that is Alain Souchon: "We have the impression that we know him, and in the end we don't know him that much. And so my report is was that. He was for me a poet who crosses time, and who does not go out of fashion. And that is very rare in fact."

In the audience, you can see the curly head of Souchon, and this tribute pleased him, he confides, because he looks like him.

Still on stage until March 5, "La Ballade de Souchon" will make you relive your childhood love...
